You know what’s really scary, friend?
April is only six months away 😅
While the rest of us are thinking about Halloween costumes, Thanksgiving menus, and whether it’s actually too early to put up holiday decorations, I’m over here thinking about spring travel.
Because if an April getaway is even remotely on your radar, now is exactly when we should
start talking about it!
Why so early? I’m glad you asked:
📌 MORE OPTIONS: The earlier we start, the more choices we generally have when it comes to
flights, hotels, room categories, cruise cabins, and those specific experiences you reallyyyy
don’t want to miss.
📌 MORE TIME TO BUDGET: Planning ahead gives you more time to spread out the cost of
your trip instead of scrambling to pay for everything at once. It also gives us time to make
proactive decisions about where you want to splurge and where you’d rather save
📌 LESS LAST-MINUTE SCRAMBLING: I would much rather have your trip thoughtfully
planned and buttoned up than be frantically searching for whatever happens to still be
available a few weeks before departure. Future-you will be very pleased!
And this month, I’m not just sharing where I’d send you. I’m sharing a few ideas for how I’d
recommend you experience each destination, too.

France in the springtime? Oui oui!
Sure, everyone flocks to Amsterdam for tulip season in the spring, but if you’re looking for
something a little different, let me point you a little farther south to France, with its bustling
cities, rolling countryside, and winding rivers.
But wait… what if you can’t decide which region to prioritize? I have an idea!
📍 HOW TO EXPERIENCE IT: Instead of bouncing between hotels, settle in once and let the
scenery come to you via river cruise. Depending on the itinerary, you could find yourself
sailing past vineyard-lined countryside, exploring historic villages and local markets, and
enjoying plenty of time ashore along the way.
It’s an entirely different way to experience France than planting yourself in Paris for a week,
and a pretty fabulous way to see more of the country without spending half your vacation in
transit.

St. Barths in April? How chic.
If your ideal spring getaway involves white-sand beaches, beautiful hotels, and a teensy bit of
see-and-be-seen energy, St. Barths might be calling your name.
This little Caribbean island packs a whole lot into a small package, which means there’s
much more to experience than the view from your lounge chair. And trust me, this isn’t an
island where I’d send you to a standard all-inclusive resort and tell you to stay put all week.
📍 HOW TO EXPERIENCE IT: Settle into a beautiful boutique hotel or villa, rent a car, and
make exploring the island part of the experience. Spend your days bouncing between
beaches and wandering around Gustavia, the capital of the island.
St. Barths is small enough to explore without turning your vacation into a logistical
marathon, so you can enjoy all the perks of a fabulous home base without treating your hotel
as the entire destination.

Is it really a spring travel feature if there aren’t cherry blossoms? 🌸
If seeing Japan during cherry blossom season has been sitting on your travel wish list,
consider this your friendly reminder that you are not the only one hoping to visit during this
busy peak season.
Spring is an incredibly popular time to visit Japan, which means this is not the trip I’d
recommend casually deciding to take a few weeks beforehand. The earlier we start, the more
options we’ll have to piece together a trip that actually makes sense.
📍 HOW TO EXPERIENCE IT: Japan is exactly the kind of destination where thoughtful
planning pays off. Rather than trying to squeeze the entire country into one trip, we’ll design a
route that gives you time to actually experience each stop.
Cherry blossoms might be what gets you there in April, but Japan deserves to be more than a
race from one pink tree to the next!

Not every spring getaway requires a passport or even a full week away!
After a long winter, sometimes what you need isn’t another jam-packed vacation. It’s a few
days somewhere warm, beautiful, and farrrrr away from your normal routine.
Enter: Sedona, Arizona.
With its red-rock scenery, gorgeous resorts, and not-too-hot April weather, Sedona practically
begs to be turned into a long weekend dedicated to feeling like a human again.
📍 HOW TO EXPERIENCE IT: Skip the packed itinerary and make this one a true wellness
weekend. Book a spa-focused resort, schedule a massage (or two, we’re not judging), bring a
book, and leave plenty of room to simply do a whole lot of nothing.
This isn’t the trip where we try to squeeze in as much as humanly possible! The whole point is
to come home feeling like you actually had a break.
👻 P.S. Know what’s actually spooky? Heading into November without your festive or winter
getaway booked. If you’re hoping to travel over the holidays or escape the cold this winter,
consider this your final call to get in touch!
